Virtuous Design is a book that contains Gui Bonsiepe’s essay “Virtues of Design” and an excerpt from Matthew McConaughey’s book “Greenlights.” This book is designed to have a natural, down to earth feeling to compliment the frankness of both of the texts. This is achieved through the use of a muted green color palette and bamboo imagery throughout the book, This is even further accented by the cover being created out of a piece of engraved bamboo plywood. The paper is a cotton blended that has a nice grain on it that accents the greens throughout the spreads. It also provides a nice tactile quality for the reader to enjoy while flipping through.
